According to Dr Chandramohan, Chief Urologist,Preethi Urology Hospital, “A lot of the IT employees spend time in air conditioned offices and lack proper hydration, due to which they suffer from kidney stones and even have signs prostate cancer. Men who are into this profession work towards financial stability and marry later in life, which eventually develops several health complications and can effect their fertility.”

All these problems have researched medical solutions at Preethi Urology Hospital.In the last two years, the hospital organized awareness programmes in about hundred gated communities where the highlight was concerning issues such as kidney health, urine output, diabetes and BP. With this increased awareness, people have started to bring their parents to the hospital. The second anniversary celebration of the hospital was grandly planned and celebrated in the hospital premises on Sunday, 16th July with esteemed guests across healthcare industry.

Commenting on this regard, the Managing Director Dr Chandramohan shared “it has started as a 70 bed hospital, we have performed more than 2000 various surgeries in the last two years. We have all sorts of laparoscopic lasers and other advanced surgeries available. 12 doctors along with 75 staff are there in the hospital. Being a big single speciality, people who identify any sort of kidney-urology related health problems are coming to the hospital for treatment.

Most of the patients who come to the hospital are IT and Corporate employees, and their family members. Women who work in IT sector observed urine leakage, elders have observed prostate and other signs of cancer. Many patients have started to show interest in laproscopic surgeries, which is new.

Low cost treatment packages
With a goal to protect the health of people in these surrounding areas we have low cost packages for health and kidney checkups. Similarly, on sundays the cost of the ultrasound scan is inbetween 600-700 and so are kidney checkups. With the awareness programmes we organized along with people identifying our content through internet, they started to take precautions to protect their kidney health and started visiting the hospital. With these health treatments and checkups we are able to save people dieying from kidney cancer, bladder cancer and other kidney related issues. Consuming more salt and meat in diet can cause kidney problems” said Dr Chandramohan.
