Tata Chemicals Mithapur Wins Two Platinum Awards at 21st CII National Six Sigma Competition

Two Lean Six Sigma Black Belt projects earn the highest category of recognition, taking Mithapur's tally to 19 CII LSS Competition national awards
Tata Chemicals Limited's Mithapur manufacturing facility has been honoured with two Platinum Awards, the highest category of recognition, at the 21st CII National Six Sigma Competition for two Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Black Belt projects. The recognition comes amid strong participation from manufacturing organisations across India and reinforces Mithapur's commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.
The two award-winning projects are:
  • Reduction of Power Plant 450# Steam Variable Cost
  • Reduce Downtime of Salt Auto Packer Machine
The projects focused on improving operational efficiency and reducing process-related losses through the application of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and data-driven problem solving.
With these latest recognitions, Tata Chemicals Mithapur has now secured a total of 19 awards at the CII National Six Sigma Competition since it began participating in the prestigious platform, reflecting the sustained adoption of Lean Six Sigma practices across its manufacturing operations.
